Test 3. Push Ups and Pull Ups
This test of the Indian Army GD physical examination is called “Pull-ups” test. All the candidates must do full-body pull-ups in a wooden grip pull up bar.
To easily pass this test you should have strength in your arms and back. If you regularly practice pull ups in your home then you don’t need to worry about this test. This test can be easily cleared if you have done enough practice of pull ups.
The minimum number of pull-ups is 6 for which the candidate is awarded 16 marks. And the maximum marks which can be awarded are 40 marks on 10 pull ups and above.
The marks for pull-ups in Indian Army are as follows:
- 10 Pull-ups 40 Marks
- 9 Pull-ups 33 Marks
- 8 Pull-ups 27 Marks
- 7 Pull-ups 21 Marks
- 6 Pull-ups 16 Marks
Test 4. Balance
Balance is one of the trickiest tests during the Indian Army GD physical exams, there is a wooden plank which is 3 – 4 m long and uneven in surface and the candidates must qualify it within 3 given tryouts and no marks are awarded to complete this task but still this test is important to complete.
Balancing is the test for which no candidate prepares but this test should also be prepared with same intensity as others. Some candidates think they can easily clear this test but to their surprise this easy looking test can trick them in many ways. The only way to pass this test is that approach this test slow and steady and remember you have only 3 attempts to pass this test.
Test 5. 9 Feet Ditch
9 Feet Ditch is the last test amongst the Army GD Physical Test. As the name suggests, in this test there is a 9 feet wide ditch which the candidates have to jump cross from one side to other.
No marks are awarded for this Test. You just have to qualify this test. No more than 3 tries are given for 9 feet jump. So, prepare for it carefully.
