  • Candidates’ Height Should be 167cm.
  • Candidates’ Minimum Chest after the Expansion should below 77cm.
  • There should be a minimum expansion of 5cm.

Test 2. Running

Running is the primary step of the selection method of Indian Army GD and also the category with the most competition. Thousands of candidates appear in every year to participate in the rally. Every candidate needs to run about 1 mile (1600m). This is the first and the foremost test which a candidate has to give. If you fail to qualify the set standards for running then you will be rejected in the very first phase.

Test 3. Push Ups and Pull Ups

This test of Indian Army GD physical examination is called “Pull ups” test. All the candidates must do full body pull-ups in a wooden grip pull up bar.

To easily pass this test you should have strength in your arms and back. If you regularly practice pull ups in your home then you don’t need to worry about this test. This test can be easily cleared if you have done enough practice of pull ups.

The minimum number of pull-ups is 6 for which the candidate is awarded 16 marks. And the maximum marks which can be awarded are 40 marks on 10 pull ups and above.

The marks for pull-ups in Indian Army are as follows:

  • 10 Pull-ups 40 Marks
  • 9 Pull-ups 33 Marks
  • 8 Pull-ups 27 Marks
  • 7 Pull-ups 21 Marks
  • 6 Pull-ups 16 Marks

Test 4. Balance

Balance is one of the trickiest tests during the Indian Army GD physical exams, there is a wooden plank which is 3 – 4 m long and uneven in surface and the candidates must qualify it within 3 given tryouts and no marks are awarded to complete this task but still this test is important to complete.

Balancing is the test for which no candidate prepares but this test should also be prepared with same intensity as others. Some candidates think they can easily clear this test but to their surprise this easy looking test can trick them in many ways. The only way to pass this test is that approach this test slow and steady and remember you have only 3 attempts to pass this test.

Test 5. 9 Feet Ditch

9 Feet Ditch is the last test amongst the Army GD Physical Test. As the name suggests, in this test there is a 9 feet wide ditch which the candidates have to jump cross from one side to other.

No marks are awarded for this Test. You just have to qualify this test. No more than 3 tries are given for 9 feet jump. So, prepare for it carefully.

Process After Army GD Physical Test

After Army GD Physical Test gets completed, all the candidates are called for Document Verification Process. Where you need to prove you address that you belong to the specific region and you need to prove your identity also.
