CDS 2019 Exam Result & Cut Off

UPSC CDS I 2019 Result: Union Public service commission has declared the result of CDS I on 9th April at the official websites The written examination was held on 3rd February. A total of 7953 candidates have qualified for the interview round.

UPSC CDS II 2019 Result: UPSC now going to conduct CDS II exam 2019 after the Completion CDS I exam. The board is going to begin the online application procedure by 12th June 2019. The last date of the online application designated by the board is 8th July 2019. The examination result and SSB interview dates for CDS II are expected to be declared in December 2019 and February 2020.

How to check CDS Result 2019

UPSC will announce CDS I Results at the official website in the month of December. Steps to check CDS Result and downloading the scorecard are mentioned below:

  1. Visit the official website of UPSC i.e.
  2. Click on ‘Examination’ tab and navigate to the ‘Active Examination’ Section.
  3. Go to Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2019
  4. You will find a PDF file for the written test result.
  5. Download it and locate your roll number with a keyboard shortcut- Ctrl + F.
  6. Take a print out of the same for future reference.

Note:  Candidates might face the issue of server down as there would be many applicants who would be checking their respective results at the same time. This will create a massive overload on their server. They can check their results at ease after some hours when the issue is completely resolved.

CDS 2019 Scorecard

UPSC will provide a copy of the scorecard for CDS 2019 on the official website i.e. The availability of the scorecard will be after the completion of the SSB interview round. CDS II 2019 Marksheet will be available for a limited period of time (approximately 1 month). Following steps must be followed to obtain CDS I 2019 Marksheet:

  1. Visit the official website of UPSC.
  2. A link to download mark sheet will be provided in ‘What’s New’ section, click on it.
  3. Enter your Roll Number and Date of Birth, thereafter, enter the captcha code
  4. Click on Submit, your mark sheet will appear on the screen.
  5. Take a printed copy of the mark sheet for future reference.

CDS 2019 Cut Off

After the completion of the selection procedure, the board prepares a Cut off list according to the marks obtained by the candidates in written exam and SSB interview & test. The cut off list varies to the various posts comes under CDS i.e IMA, INA, AFA and OTA.

The candidates must qualify the minimum cut off marks for selection to IMA, INA, AFA, and OTA, set by the governing body. Minimum of 20% score in each section is the basic cut off to qualify for CDS 2019 and an overall score in the written exam is around 110 marks. Those who fit into this range are called for CDS SSB Interview and further scrutinization thus takes place.

CDS Previous Years Cut-Off

To set a realistic idea of the CDS results cut off list 2019, candidates should check the previous years cut off statistics. Combined Defence Services (CDS) Selection Procedure

UPSC completes the Combined Defence Service selection procedure in various stages i.e. Written examination, Interview Test, Document Verification. All three stages are discussed below:

  1. Written Examination: The candidates who filled the applications forms before the last notified date will only be able to appear for CDS written examination. CDS written exam is an objective type, pen paper-based test. The qualified candidates will now appear for the second stage of the selection procedure i.e. SSB Interview/ Intelligence/ Personality test.
  2. Interview/ Intelligence Test/ Personality Test: On the basis of the HQs, the qualified candidates will be interviewed by the Service Selection Board. It is a five-days testing procedure held at the respective SSB centers. The officially selected candidates shall further be called up for their document verification.
  3. Document Verification: The important documents of selected candidates like their scorecard, graduation degree, age proof, and other certificates and requisite documents are verified by the officials. If the documents are not authentic or complete then such candidates can be disqualified by the officials. Final selection of candidates will be made if they are found to medically fit.
