CBSE 12th Class Qualifying Grade or CGPA / Grading System

The minimum qualifying grade for passing the exam is grade D. Students getting E1 or E2 grades, will have to sit re-examination within a month. CBSE follows the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)system for grading its students in the secondary level under the newly introduced scheme of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation in its schools in a phased manner. You can check the below table for the reference of the marks which has been divided as per the grades.

Marks Grades Grade Points
20 and belowE20

The students who have scored between 91 and 100 or to 100 will be awarded the A1 grade, and the points will be awarded are 10/10 which means outstanding performance and the series continue for 81-90 for the A2 grade and when it comes to the 33-40 it the last passing or qualifying grade, anyhow the candidate is qualified and the person who gets E1 and E2 are considered as ‘fail’ and may reappear for supply exam or compartmental exams and this data may vary for other board.

Calculation of CGPA: It is very easy to find out the CGPA, after you get your scorecard, or report card or the print from the internet, suppose there are 5 subjects like Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science, and Social, and scored points are as follows 9, 8, 10, 6, 7, so just add all these to get the average or CGPA that is 9+8+10+6+7 which will be equals to the 40, then divide it by total number of subjects that are 5 which is 40/5 = 8. So the overall grade or the points secured are 8/10. CBSE 12th Class Result 2019 will be announced.
